Talk about it!

Sometimes without realizing it, talking to someone you trust can relieve your stress.. Allow yourself to be vulnerable with your truths and don’t only have easy conversations. Have the hard ones too.

What is talk therapy? Talk therapy is a treatment to help a person identify and change bothersome emotions, thoughts, and behaviors. Talk therapy, also called (psychotherapy)is when a licensed mental health professional and a patient meet one-on-one or in a group setting with similar needs.

Is Talk therapy actually effective? According to the American Psychiatric Association, 3 in 4 people who try it, notice its benefits. Talk therapy can help you work through mental health conditions, such as anxiety and depression.

How do I know if I need talk therapy? 1) If you think about an issue or issues that take up at least an hour each day. 2) If you are embarrassed by the issue and it causes you to isolate yourself from others.

Do not delay or be ashamed to talk to somebody. Have a conversation and do not assume that others know what you are going through.
